Tammy Sue Keyes is the founder and lead instructor of Foundation BMC. She brings over 25 years of healthcare experience to her role, with a strong background in medical coding, billing, and compliance.
As a Certified Professional Coder (CPC), Tammy has taught and mentored hundreds of students in both clinical and remote learning environments. She’s deeply committed to providing personalized, accessible instruction to help students succeed—no matter their background or starting point.
Tammy founded Foundation Billing and Medical Coding in 2021 to offer an affordable, flexible pathway into the healthcare field for working adults and career changers.

Our History
Foundation Billing and Medical Coding was founded in 2021 when I bought the school from my mentor. I have always had a passion for teaching and recitation to medical coding and billing, thus the school combined my two passions.
I have over 25 years of medical coding and billing experience and continue to update my skills and knowledge base. My mission is to provide my students with the most up to date coding and billing education and skills; my students' success is also my success. Over the past four years my curriculum has continued to evolve, my teaching skills improve, and my passion has grown.
